Oprah, knowing how Charice Pempengco idolizes Celine Dion, surprised her with a video patch via satellite to get the chance to talk to Celine Dion.

During their face to face talk at the Oprah Winfrey Show via video satellite Charice got an unexpected invitation from Celine Dion to sing with her at her upcoming Taking Chances concert at the Madison Square Garden. This is one rare opportunity Charice Pempengco could never decline.

During the Taking Chances concert, Celine introduced Charice to the audience with a background of the teenage singing diva. She recounted how she and Charice met and made their duet performance possible. She narrated how she was told that Oprah discovered an incredible young singer and she invited Charice to join her on her show after seeing her amazing performance that is truly international quality.

Celine Dion describes Charice Pempengco as having a voice that can literally blow off the roof of Madison Square Garden. She further recounted the difficulties and adversaries that Charice and her mom have gone though. She gave the audience a bit of introduction on how Charice and her mother escaped their traumatic experience from the violence of Charice's father.

Charice can be visualized as a teenage girl who dreams not only for her own but for her mother as well. When Charice was introduced by Celine to the audience she openly gave Charice some singing advice and how to start pursuing her career as a singer. She also explained that she knows Charice like to sing for her mother so they are singing the song "Because You Love Me" which is dedicated for Charice's mother.

During the duet Celine allowed Charice to shine on stage by joining to sing with her in some verses of the songs only. The audience was amazed to hear Charice sing and her powerful voice once again gained her a standing ovation from the crowd.
