A Glimpse At Coron, Palawan Escapade

Coron, Palawan is a scenic place that is beginning to receive great reviews from both local and foreign visitors.

Are you tired of a busy city life? Why not take a break and just seize the day to chill out? Do you want to get closer to nature and become a part of it?

Then consider Coron to be that place to spend your vacation. Located in the province of Palawan about 185 miles away from Manila via airplane or boat, it is a town that extends along a coast which was once wrapped by mangroves. It is composed of 23 barangays; with a population of nearly 40,000 and covers part of the Island of Busuanga and Coron Islands. The municipality is popular for its remarkable diving location honed to be their major tourism attraction. Many divers are actually attracted to the place and made it as their jump-off point for those who are beginning to be familiar to this leisure pursuit.

There are many things that a first time tourist can do around Coron. Daytime trips can be done like trekking in Mt. Tapyas climbing the more than 700-step stairs to enjoy the overview scenery of the island and take a look at the spectacular sunset. Island hopping is another option to see the fascinating sight of nature that includes the places of Los Sietes Pecados, Kayangan Lake, Barracuda Lake, Twin Lagoon, Banol Beach, CYC Island and Skeleton Wreck.

Tourists can enjoy the scene underwater as they snorkel down the sea to take a look at the beautiful corals and fish habitat that remained unspoiled. Kayaking is another activity that someone cannot let go. It is a great way to stroll throughout the island.

A few kilometers from the town is the Coron Island inhabited by indigenous tribe, is known for its lovely aquatic view of the 12 World War II Japanese sunken ships ruins and a good place for wreck diving.

Others can have pre-arranged activities like jungle hikes, horse back riding and orbit around the town by renting the mountain bikes. Go camping in a somewhat deserted island for those who are looking for thrill and radical excitement. A fine white sand beach similar to Boracay lies in Malcapuya Island. Culion, a former camp for lepers is one of the must see sites as well.

A wide expanse of sea resources gives the residents a source of living and tourists take pleasure in enjoying the taste of savory seafood. Restaurants and bars are all over the place to choose from and try out while in town. Transients can temporarily dwell in the different resorts, pension and lodging houses at a fair enough rates.

Come and encounter fun to the next level. Visit this astonishing town and island to afford your self of a great pleasure that nature offers. Pack your things up, be ready with your map, videocam and sunscreen lotions, bring ample amount of money and you’re on your way to Coron, Palawan to enjoy life to the fullest.
