Ford Philippines leads in quality

Ford Philippines started late in the country but this did not stopped them to jump-start its program to introduce automobiles that can meet the growing demands of the Filipinos and their varying lifestyles.

Ford in the Philippines forms part of the global Ford, one of the leading automotive companies in the world.

Ford in the Philippines officially started in 1997 and starting that time, the company continues on growing and has never looked back. The production of Ford products is centered on its Sta. Rosa plant in Laguna. The assembly plant in this Southern Luzon is is a 4-billion pesos state-of-the-art plant that services its thousands of costumers. The production of Ford products here at this plant has been stepped-up in order to meet the discerning demands of the Filipino drivers and enthusiasts. The company also focuses a great deal on its distribution efforts and it is the desire of the company to bring to the country the brand's top-selling North American trucks and sports utility vehicles. The commitment of the company to bring better products and better services has earned rewards for the company.

Some of the awards taken by Ford Philippines include;

. ISO 9002
. ISO 14001
. Ford made it to the top of the J.D. Power Sales and Service Satisfaction Index. This survey includes all the automotive companies that are operating in the country.

Currently Ford in the country offers its Filipino costumers with seven models to choose from. The list of Ford vehicles available and marketed in the country includes the Ford Focus, Ford, Escape, Ford Everest, Ford Explorer, Ford Expedition, Ford Chateau and Ford Ranger.

. Ford Focus. This is designed with a small family in mind and sold not only in the Philippines but in many markets around the world. The Ford Focus has been considered too as the world's best-selling car. This car has received a number of face-lifts and modifications in the past and the latest facelift on the car happened this January 2008. When the Focus was still in production, the car concept has a code of CW170 and this was known to insiders and contractors as the Ford Fusion. This car officially adopted the Focus name in the early 1998.

. Ford Escape. The Escape is a compact SUV that was introduced in 2000 as a 2001 model. Its price range is just below that of the Ford Explorer. The Escape is a joint effort of Ford and Mazda and this was released in the market in time with the release of Mazda Tribute. This compact SUV uses the Ford CD2 platform which is based on the Mazda GF platform.

. Ford Everest. This is a mid-size SUV offered in the country and in other parts of Asia and the Bahamas. This offers great space for the family since its design will include three rows of seating.
. Ford Explorer. The Ford Explorer is another mid-size SUV from Ford and this is offered since 1990 in other markets around the world. The introduction of the Explorer helped paved the way for the special interest on the SUV as a whole.

. Ford Expedition. This is a full-size SUV offered in the country. This was first introduced in 1997 and this offers up to 9-passenger seating. The design and the construction of the Expedition is similar to the Lincoln Navigator.

Other than its well-known quality made products, Ford in the country is also known for its many other programs that brings back something to the society. One such program is the Henry Ford Awards. The Henry Ford Awards marked its 8th year in 2008. And this award body was designed in order to give citation to those men who have excelled in automotive reporting. Ford Philippines believe in the role that media plats in shaping and advancing the interest of the automotive industry. And it is thru this award and its other many programs that they can also help the media in the country.
