Manila Bulletin: The Leading Newspaper In The Philippines

Manila Bulletin definitely has the largest circulation in the Philippines. It is formerly known as Bulletin Today and also called simply as the Bulletin these days. It claims itself as the leading newspaper in the Philippines.



The Bulletin was based in 1900 as a shipping written material. It is the second ancient newspaper in the country next to The Manila Times. The publication was first owned by a Swiss expatriate Hans Menzi. The newspaper's circulation had gone through a lot and emerged as survivor of Martial law epoch of former president of the Philippines, Ferdinand Marcos.

Manila Bulletin was then owned by a Filipino-Chinese business ruler Emilio Yap who also owns the Manila Hotel and Euro-Phil Laboratories. Manila Bulletin Publishing Corporation, the paper's controlling company publishes two other newspapers, Tempo and Balita. It also published nine magazines which include the Philippine Panorama, Bannawag, Liwayway, Bisaya and a horde of other papers of different languages and dialects like English, Tagalog and Cebuano.
