Miss Philippines Showcases The Classic Beauty Of The Filipina
Miss Philippines or Binibining Pilipinas is the most prestigious beauty contest in the country. And the coronation night for the contest is one of the most awaited events in the country. Filipinos love beauty and they love their lovely women and cheer for them on competitions like this one. The winners of Binibining Pilipinas as then sent to international competitions like the Miss Universe contest. Winners of this contest are sent to many international competitions and these international competitions include: Miss Araneta was also the first winner of the Miss International beauty pageant which was held in 1960. The organization that supports the search for Miss Philippines is a prolific one, having produced a number of title holders. The organization of the search has produced two Miss Universe winners. The first one was Gloria Diaz who did it in 1969 and the second Miss Universe winner was Maria Margarita Moran who duplicated the feat in 1973. The BCPI or the Binibining Pilipinas Charities, Incorporated donates all its earnings to some orphanages in Metro Manila which includes day care centers and their moves are often done in cooperation with the Department of Social Welfare and Development or the DSWD. The organization and of course the Miss Philippines winners have shown their concern to past victims of calamities. The organization has a history of contributing to aid and relief operations when calamities occur. This goes to show that the real beauty lies in helping others.
