* After his singing debut in 1989, he has released 18 more albums. In his singing career, he already received 5 gold records, 3 platinum records and 3 double platinum records.

* "Nandito Ako" garnered the Song of the Year given by a local radio station Magic 89.9.

* He sang and composed famous and unforgettable hit songs "Sa Kanya" and "Bakit Ngayon Ka Lang".

* In 1990, he earned the Most Popular Recording Artist from Guillermo Mendoza memorial Awards.

* In 1991, Ogie Alcasid won the Best Revival Song by Awit Awards for Pagkakataon, Best Performance by Male Recording Artist for his Mahal Kita, Walang Iba and Best Movie/TV/Stage Theme Song for Paano Ba Ang Mag-isa by Awit Awards in 1993.

* Ogie Alcasid in 1994 grabbed the Best Performance by a Male Recording Artist for Bakit Ngayon Ka Lang from Awit Awards. The Best Movie/TV/ Stage Theme Song for the same song from Awit Awards. He also won the OPM Male Artist of the year by RX 93.1.

* Ogie Alcasid's "Kailangan Ko'y Ikaw" got him the awards for Best Movie Theme Song, Best Movie Theme Song of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Male Performances in Music Lounges, Bars, Clubs and Restaurants, Best Ballad Recording and Best Movie/ TV/ Stage Theme Song Recording. His song "Kahit Na" won the MTV Pilipinas' Best Male Music Video and Best Song Music Video.

* In 2002, he again received the Best Male Performance in Music Lounges, Bars, Clubs and Restaurants. He also received the Album of the Year for his "A Better Man", Best Performance by a Male Recording Artist for "Ikaw Sana."

* In the year, 2003 his "Kailangan Kita" gave him the Best Movie Theme Song and Best Movie Theme Song of the Year. "Pangarap Ko Ang Ibigin Ka" won him the Best Original Movie Theme Song of the Year and Best Original Theme Song. For personal award, he received Favorite Male Artist from MTV Pilipinas and Entertainer of the Year.

* For the year 2004, he was given the Most Popular Male Singer/ Entertainer from Guillermo Mendoza Memorial Award. He also made it to have the Best Major Concert, Best Male TV Host (Golden Screen Award and Star Award) and Best Comedy Actor. "Pangarap Ko Ang Ibigin Ka" won again the Best Song Written for Movies/ TV/ Stage Play and Best Original Song.

* Guillermo Mendoza Memorial Award again gave him an award as Most Popular Male Singer/ Entertainer. He also received the Outstanding Performance in a Comedy Gag Show from Golden Screen Awards in 2005.

* Ogie Alcasid was given the Most Popular Male Entertainer of the Year by Guillermo Mendoza Memorial. Aliw Awards gave him the Best Major Concert and Entertainer of the Year. Star Awards gave him the Best Comedy Actor.

* "Entertainer of the Year" was given to him in 2008 from Aliw Awards.

Never forgetting that Ogie Alcasid has a streak for business inside him, he founded and currently owns a food stalls called Ogie Doggie. He continues to entertain people with his shows in GMA network most notably his performances in a gag show Bubble Gang. Aside from the gag show every Friday night, his serious singing performances can be seen every Sunday via the musical show SOP. Ogie Alcasid is one of the judges of the Pinoy Idol, a franchise of the Americal Idol. He was once married to Michelle van Eimeren, finalist of the Miss Universe pageant and had two children with her. But they had divorced and as of this writing he is currently in a serious relationship with fellow singer and SOP host Regine Velasquez.
