Philippine Waterfalls - An atmosphere of serenity

Philippine waterfalls are one of the major attractions of its islands.

There are a number of famous Philippine waterfalls but the five most famed of these are: Limunsudan Falls, Maria Cristina Falls, Pagsanjan Falls, Dodiongan Falls and Tinago Falls.

On the island of Mindanao and in the Iligan City, you will find Maria Cristina waterfalls of River Agus. It is also referred to as 'twin falls' for the reason that the water is separated by a rock at the edge of the waterfall. This city is home to twenty other waterfalls. This waterfall is known for its natural beauty and is the source for electricity power generation.

Pagsanjan falls is a major attraction for tourist. It is one of the most famous waterfalls in Philippine. Tourists can take a small boat ride upon payment of a small fee. The falls itself can only be reached through these boats. At the base of the waterfall you will find a natural pool, which is a good for swimming and diving. You can also get a massage under the falls. The area around the fall is known for cave exploration. Behind the waterfall you can find a small cave.

Tinago Fall, another famous Philippine waterfall, is another tourist attraction in the city of Iligan City. This fall is hidden in deep ravine. To be able to reach this famous Philippine waterfall you need to cross almost 500 descending steps.

Limunsudan Falls, said to be the highest Philippine waterfall, is located in Iligan City. This highest waterfall of Philippine is a two tiered waterfall.

Dodiongan Falls is also located in the Iligan City. A pool at the bottom makes this fall an ideal place for swimming.

Philippine waterfalls have an atmosphere of serenity with equally offering beauty. Philippine waterfalls bring one's mind to peace and are a great place to escape from busy and noisy life.
