Relaksasi Megamall
By Nathalie Santos Dayo
Relax with a massage at Relaksasi Megamall
Stress is a part of life. We all get stressed out by different reasons, it may be because of work, a deadline that you have to meet or taking care of the household. What ever your reasons are, a good way to relieve your body of tension and relax your tired and sore muscles is to get a good massage.
February, I took this advise to heart. Both tired and stressed out from work, my husband and I decided to get a massage. We were in SM Megamall that time, we walked around and looked for a place that offers great massage for a reasonable price. Our walking led us to the fifth floor of the mall in front of this Indian inspired wellness center. The name of the spa is Relaksasi, when we first saw it, we thought that the place was quite small, especially because they have a steam bath.
Doorway to A Whole New World

We approached the friendly staff at the front desk and inquired about the available time slot, as we were planning to watch a movie after the massage.
We were informed that we only had to wait for 30 minutes and a masseuse would be available (the reason for the wait, well we went there on a weekend during peak hours).
While waiting for our turn, I decided to take photos of the things that interested me.
The hallway was a lovely sight. It made me think of a beautiful room, filled with good smelling candles, perfume and something to make you feel at ease.
The wait didnt seem long. One of the staff members called out my husbands name and informed him that a masseuse will be with him shortly.
I didnt want to be left outside waiting for my husband or my turn. I approached the staff and asked if they would allow me to go with him [my husband].
They were very accommodating. They said that I could go inside.
The masseuse came and approached us. She led inside the spa.
To my amazement, it looked like a labyrinth of passages and doorways.
It was spacious, the front of the spa was deceiving!
We were greeted by this Indian wood sculpture mounted on the wall. I thought, its great that an Indian god was watching over the masseuse and the patrons of the spa.
We got to the massage cubicles. The masseuse knowing that we are married decided not to close the division walls, which I thought was thoughtful of her.
I did not wait longer than ten minutes for a masseuse to attend to me. She was polite and allowed me to settle on the massage table so that we could start.
Relaxing on the massage table
Over all, I would say that my experience was great! We only opted for the thirty-minute massage, but it felt like forever. The masseuses are well trained and polite. They gave us time to settle down before the massage and cool down after before going out of the cubicle. And before I forget, they asked us where do we want to drink our tea and how do we want it served, hot or cold. After fixing ourselves and cooling down, we went out to the reception area and waited for our tea to be served.
A great relaxing day from a wellness center with good masseuses and good service and an option to go around the mall was a good stress reliever for the two of us. Relaksasi, a place that I would highly recommended going to for a massage.

At first, many would think that the packages that they [Relaksasi] offer are quite expensive, but comparing their rates to other more exclusive places, their prices are quite lower. Their service is good, an ambiance that helps the mind and body relax, good massage therapists, its the best way to start a new week or end your day after all the walking and sight seeing.
