How Willie Revillame Came To Rise In Fame And Fortune
One of the Philippine's bankable stars in the entertainment industry is Willie Revillame.
His life as an entertainer typically unfolds from being a person who struggles to build his dream to attain fame and fortune. He is tag as the highest paid entertainer in the Philippines and perhaps with the most fortune among his counterparts.
Revillame's Personal Life
Willie Revillame is the only child by his separated parents but has five siblings on his mother side and another seven from his father side. He grew up with his mother after his parents separated. He was able to have several past marriages but end up living a single life with daughters and a son from different women. Despite the unsuccessful past marriages of Revillame he was able to manage his career very well which gave him better future in the entertainment industry in the Philippines.
The Boost of His Career
Willie Revillame has a humble beginning as he tries to search for success in his career. He began his professional drummer career in 1986 when he met his mentor Randy Santiago who is also a musical entertainer during their school play. He starred on a school play portraying the main character of the play. He eventually attracted the attention of Santiago who took him as a sidekick in his noontime show in GMA, Lunch Date. Willie became a part of the show for three months and he later signed a contract with Regal Films to star on a movie with comedian actor Joey Marquez. This paved the way for his comedy stints in movies playing as side kick to various Philippine actors.
He then ventured to show hosting where he became one the co-host in the musical variety show of ABS-CBN in 1998. He finally had his own show the Magandang Tanghali Bayan with John Estrada and Randy Santiago that replaced his previous show from ABS-CBN. The three sparked their own chemistry for being comedians that won the hearts of the masses which made their noontime show a primetime show on the television. This is the start of the new found fame of Revillame's career as a host.
His career as a host soared high when his own primetime show in Magandang Tanghali Bayan dethroned Eat Bulaga from the rival channel of ABS-CBN which is GMA 7 from its post as first in television ratings. He also ventured to play roles in sitcoms.
After his successful stints as a comedian-actor and a host his career experienced a downturn when he was suspended for this vulgar behavior in their show at Magandang Tanghali Bayan in 1999. He and his co-hosts were suspended for their vulgar jokes and behavior at the show. In 2001 he was completely terminated from the show because he was unable to restrain himself from continually making vulgar jokes.
In 2005 Revillame again took a major twist in his career when he became the major host of the noontime show Wowowee. It instantly became a major phenomenal hit to the masses that banks Revillame as one of the most powerful and famous entertainer in the Philippine entertainment industry.
Willie Revillame is currently enjoying the limelight, fame and fortune. He is now the highest paid celebrity and one of the wealthiest Filipino entertainers. He is popular for his different luxury car collections and multi-million properties, yachts collection and is currently building the 400 million pesos worth of theater mall near the ABS-CBN vicinity.
There is no wonder that Willie Revillame is now one of the wealthiest, popular and powerful celebrities in the Philippine entertainment industry.
